About Us

Dylan Stine

As a young child visiting my maternal family in Switzerland I grew up watching my cousins, uncle, and grandpa in admiration as they worked tirelessly on the family vineyards. Lending a hand wherever they’d let me -  from riding on the tractor with my grandpa, placing bottles on the assembly line or stacking pallets - I’ve always dreamt of being part of the family tradition and finding my role while being halfway around the world in Oakland.

Domaine Dardagny Inc is an opportunity to contribute to my Swiss family’s legacy and, of equal significance, an opportunity to create our own. Starting with the award-winning wines of my family in Dardagny, Geneva, our goal is to curate a list of wines from producers across all regions of Switzerland to fully represent the diversity of wine produced in this small, beautiful country. Thank you for your support and joining us on this journey! I am incredibly excited about what the future holds for DDI and Swiss wine.

One day Dylan Stine asked me if I wanted to help bring over some of his family’s wine. Without hesitation, I said, “of course,” and the rest was history. We set off to start our new company. Then COVID-19 hit, so that was fun. Little did I know that I found my true passion among the hardships of starting a new business. Despite all of the difficulties, this wine, this company, this story is my true calling.

My goal is to help develop this company in the proper fashion of Swiss culture. I plan to leverage my military and business development experience to build something, not for myself but our family and community. We aspire to look past profit and build sustainability, and a common-good wherever we can.

Growing up with maternal grandparents from Valais, Switzerland left me with an indelible memory of the love they had for their homeland.  Those recollections were motivation to connect with my Swiss family and visit each year, preferably during the “vendange” (harvest) season.  My “vigneron” cousin introduced me to the unique Swiss wine varietals including the traditional ‘Fendant’ from the Chasselas grapes.

It was from this experience that I realized I should bring full circle these rare Swiss wines to North America.  I met Dylan during a Swiss Global Enterprise Wine Export presentation and decided to work with him to help build the DDI Wine business.  For centuries the Swiss have been cultivating the rich limestone soil across its steeped terraces of the mountainous valleys with a unique climate.  It’s now our turn to enjoy the rich wine traditions of the Swiss Alps.
