Pinot Noir "Monolith"
Weingut Obrecht – Pinot Noir “Monolith” (Bündner Herrschaft · Graubünden AOC)
A bold and expressive Pinot Noir from Obrecht’s signature “Monolith” parcel in the steep, sun-soaked slopes of the Bündner Herrschaft, this cuvée showcases depth and nuance with a Burgundian spirit.
Bouquet: Deep, fragrant aromas of ripe black cherry and wild strawberry are lifted by hints of forest floor, baking spice and a touch of fragrant underbrush—pure and inviting.
Palate: Medium-full in weight with beautifully layered red fruit, supple yet structured tannins and a long, refined finish. Elegant acidity and mineral undertones give this wine both energy and longevity.
Vinification: Hand-harvested grapes are spontaneously fermented in wooden vats, followed by extended maturation in French oak barrels to enhance complexity while preserving varietal purity and terroir expression.
Pairings: A versatile Pinot that pairs wonderfully with roast duck breast, porcini risotto, herb-crusted pork loin or grilled salmon with a berry glaze, and stands up beautifully to aged Alpine cheeses.
